Crawling Corner

Alaska’s crawling scene is getting serious. We’ve designed a comprehensive crawler course that challenges drivers with switch-back trails, bridge climbs, and scale gates perfect for 1/24-scale rigs. Located next to hobby shop and indoor track.

What's the difference between 1/24 class 1, 2 and 3?  This video outined those rules:

1/24 Scale Competition Class Rules (RMCCA)

How are points calculated in a 1/24 event?  This video lays out the basics:

 RC 1/10 Scale Competition Rules

Stock • Class 1 • Class 2 • Class 3

Our RC 1/10 Scale Competition Rules

- The goal of the Our RC rule set is to create a fun, flexible, and beginner-friendly crawler competition format while still allowing competitive driving and creative builds.

- These rules are designed to keep tech inspection simple, encourage creativity, reduce rule arguments, and keep events fun and welcoming.

- The Event Director has final say on all rulings.

General Vehicle Rules

- All vehicles must be 1/10 scale based.

- Vehicles must have a mounted body and front bumper.

- Vehicles must be safe to operate with no dangerous exposed parts.

Driving Rules (10 minutes max)

- Progress Gate = -2

- Bonus Gate = -10

- Gate Marker Touch = +10

- Reverse = +1

- Full Reset/"Hand of God" = +10

- Rollover = +5

- Winch Use = +3

Lowest score wins.

Course Rules

- Recommended course time: 10 minutes.

- If time expires, the driver may finish the current gate only.

- minimum gate requirements 12” or wider

Stock Class

- The body must be street legal and may be constructed of hard plastic, metal, or what it came out of the box.

- Mostly stock vehicles and beginner-friendly competition.

- Allowed: RTR vehicles, mild upgrades, brushed or brushless systems, portal axles if factory equipped.

- Restrictions: Must retain factory-style appearance with body and front bumper.

Class 1 — Scale Trail

- The body must remain mostly intact. Only mild trimming such as removing flares and removing a hardtop are permitted. If a hardtop is removed, a full interior is required. No extreme trimming of bodies is permitted.

- The vehicle must have a full windshield that fills the entire windshield frame.

Full width bumpers are required, front and rear. Bumpers that are molded with the body are permitted. A rear bumper is not required on a flat bed, but adding one to the flat bed will gain the additional scale point. Bumpers are measured from the outside edges and must be equal to or wider than the windshield at its widest point.

-Wheels must be aligned within the body wheel wells (center of wheels to center of wheel wells, +/- ½ inch total combined).

-Tire tread may not extend outside of wheel wells more than ½ of the tread width. Flares may be added to reach minimum specifications.

-Tires may not extend beyond the front and rear bumpers or the rear of the flatbed, if used.

-Vehicle must run a full-length frame rail chassis and the frame rails must be as long as the vehicles wheelbase.

-FLAT SKID REQUIRED No angled skids permitted.

-Truggies are not permitted.

-Flatbeds with full length frame rails are permitted. The bed must be as wide as the cab the entire length of the bed.

-Dovetailing, boat sides, sectioning or narrowing of the body is not permitted.

-Bobbing of truck bed is permitted as long as all body specifications are met.

-4.25” max tire size, including spare.

Class 2 — Competition

-A front bumper is required and must be mounted to the frame rails.

-Vehicle must have full frame rails. The chassis must be a minimum of 3” longer than the front and rear wheelbase. This includes a chassis with truggy rear frames.

-Truggies are permitted. Frame rails behind the cab must be replaced with tube work and extend beyond the rear axle pumpkin to be legal. Truggy tube work must include a roll bar hoop at the back of the cab and have integrated shock mounts. Truggy tube work must be a structural part of the rear of the vehicle. If any of these specifications are not met, it will not pass as a truggy.

-Flatbeds are permitted. They must run the full length of the frame rails and be as wide as the cab the entire length of the bed.

- 4.75” max tire size, including spare.

- 2.2” max wheel size, including spare.

- Course gates are to set at 12” or wider.

Class 3 — Unlimited

Open unlimited class for extreme competition builds.

Rear steer allowed.

Dig units allowed.

Tube chassis and custom fabrication allowed.

Minimal restrictions.

Our RC — Drive hard. Have fun. Keep crawling.
